The discount percentage is taken off the subtotal first, and the tax percentage is then applied to the discounted amount. Total = (subtotal - discount) + tax.
Yes. India GST mode is the default. Choose Tax Invoice, Bill of Supply or Invoice-cum-Bill of Supply, add GSTINs, HSN/SAC codes and GST rates, and the tool splits CGST and SGST for same-state sales or applies IGST for interstate sales. It also adds an HSN summary and the total in words.
It checks the GSTIN format and check character and warns if the state code does not match, but it never contacts the GST portal. It does not file returns or generate e-invoice IRNs. Verify details against GST rules or with your accountant.
Switch to Generic mode, pick a currency and enter the tax percentage. It is added to the total, but the tool does not validate tax numbers or add fields required in a specific country.
