Frequently Asked Questions
On a phone, shake to roll is on by default. Just shake the device and the dice tumble. On iPhones, Apple requires permission first, so your first tap anywhere on the page shows a prompt: choose Allow and shake works from then on. Use Turn off shake to stop it. Desktop browsers have no motion sensor, so there you click Roll or press the spacebar.
Shake needs a motion sensor and a secure (HTTPS) page. On iOS, allow motion access when prompted. If you denied it, enable motion and orientation access for this site in your browser settings and reload. On Android, check that motion sensors are not blocked in site settings or battery saver, and that shake has not been turned off on this page.
Yes. Each die uses the browser cryptographic random number generator with rejection sampling, so every face has exactly the same chance and rolls are independent.
You can roll 1 to 6 dice at once with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 or 100 sides, which covers standard board game, Dungeons & Dragons and tabletop dice.
No. Rolls and history stay in your browser tab and nothing is uploaded. Motion data is only used to detect a shake and is never recorded.
