Code to Image
Turn your code into a beautiful image. Pick a theme and background, then download a PNG or SVG, or copy it straight to your clipboard. Everything runs in your browser.
Share code that looks as good as it reads
Plain text loses its colours and formatting the moment you paste it into a tweet, a slide or a chat. A code image keeps syntax highlighting, indentation and layout intact, and it looks the same on every device. Paste your snippet, choose a theme, background and window style, then export it as a PNG or SVG. Nothing is uploaded: highlighting and rendering happen locally in your browser.
Features
8 themes, 20+ languages
Dark and light themes including Dracula, Nord, Tokyo Night and GitHub Light, with syntax highlighting for the languages developers actually use, plus auto-detect.
Backgrounds and window frames
Gradient presets, a custom colour or a transparent background, with a Mac-style window, a title-only bar or no frame at all. Adjust padding, width and shadow.
PNG, SVG and clipboard
Download a crisp PNG at up to 3x resolution, a scalable SVG, or copy the image directly and paste it into Slack, Docs or your design tool.
Private and persistent
Your code never leaves the browser. The editor and your style choices are remembered locally, and Undo, Redo and Ctrl+Z cover everything you type.
Frequently Asked Questions
It turns a snippet of source code into a styled picture, with syntax highlighting, a window frame and a coloured background. The result is meant for sharing code on social media, in blog posts, slides, documentation and chat, where pasting plain text would lose the colours and layout.
No. Highlighting and image rendering both happen in your browser using the canvas API. Your code never leaves your device, so it is safe to use with private or work-in-progress snippets.
PNG at 1x, 2x or 3x resolution, and SVG. PNG is the safest choice for social media and chat apps. SVG stays sharp at any size, which suits slides and print, but the text uses your viewer's monospace font, so spacing can differ slightly between devices.
Yes. Choose the "None" background and export as PNG or SVG. The window is exported on its own with a transparent area around it, which is useful when you want to place the snippet on your own slide or design.
Yes. Pick an aspect ratio before exporting: 1:1 or 4:5 for Instagram posts, 1.91:1 for LinkedIn and Facebook link posts, 16:9 for X, or 9:16 for stories and reels. The code window stays centred and the background fills the rest of the image, so the text is never stretched or cropped.
More than 20 languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, Go, Rust, PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JSON, YAML and Bash, plus auto-detect. Eight themes are available, from dark ones like Dracula and Tokyo Night to light ones like GitHub Light.
Click Copy image and paste it into Slack, WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Docs or most design tools. If your browser does not allow image clipboard access, the button tells you so and you can use Download PNG instead.
